i've just put a straight though middle section on my x16xe + a de-cat its made it MUCH louder! and now back fires .......
wouldn't say i have lost any speed at all if anything beta mid revs with my new 4 branch on (4-2-1) if your putting a de-cat on leave your middle section on

Ive a janspeed 4 branch, de catted and straight through stainless peco system..Makes a difference in power alright, quite in the low revs but when you give it a squirt past 3k its fairly loud..Backfires are LOUD!!

i have just had mine decatted hasnt made any difference i dont think, maybe lost a bit of punch lower down????

i had mine decatted...and it sounded terrible........but i dont like rasp

so i then got a b&m sports cat and a full 2 1/4" system........with no centre silencer..

then did away with the knuckle joint and welded a flexi in.......

now its beautiful ...just need to get rid of the protech and buy a decent manifold

iv got a decat (with silence) scorpion system

isn't raspy and i there was no power increase over standard! smaller profile tyres made a difference tho!

Yeah was lovely cheers. Bit gutted that it hasnt made much improvement in performance, oh well ill have to look into getting a exhaust manifold to go with.
