Need to re-design my room and my PC is Very outdated!
All i use my Pc for now is Internet / Picture storage / Macromedia suite (flash/fireworks etc) - I download the occasinaly film but its not something i do regulary.
Now i know Laptops can restrict you to alot of things - E.g having to use external stuff plugged in etc.
But, due to me having a Box room in the house i need to save sapce in my bedroom.
Can anyone recommend any good Laptops out there? Pricing between £500/£700 ish?
Ive had a dabble on the Dell website but cannot rmember what to look for.
From right clicking the My Computer icon, this is what i have so far:
AMD Athlon(tm) XP2400+
2.00 ghz 512mb of Ram
I think i have a 60MB hardrive.
So basically i dont want to downgrade, but they would be the basis of what i need...

My Mum bought a MEDION one the other day from ALDI or one of those crappy shops. £500 got her 1024 RAM, 80GB HD, 2.4 CPU (not sure what one).

I'm not a fan of the Dell software set-up. They pile all kinds of crap on there. You can sort that out though!

Why not an Apple Macbook, now you can run Windows on them natively?

I've got a Dell Latitude D800, it's pretty heavy (which doesn't help when I'm moving about a bit with work) but is decent enough......nice widescreen, too!
No idea on price, though...
