finally got enough spare time to start putting my new engine in.......only had 4hours but got a fair bit done.....

old engine out

nice empty engine bay....

new engine rear...after assembling most of it...

new engine front...after assembling most of it...the old geezer in the backround is my assistant (aka dad)

should hopefully be in, running and ready for a nice running in 2morro...
also going to try and hide alot of un-necessary wiring

to be continued

How come you've removed a 1600 16v to fit another 1600 16v?
Wouldn't it of been easier to just fit the mantzel inlet etc to the original engine?

Or was the engine knackered?

because this one has 81mm pistons, steel rods, knifedged crank, port polished head, and is running a CR of 12:1
