Hi Guys,

I'm gonna start with the good news!

Jason has had a Baby Boy this week!

We've signed Ben Brown for next season!

And now ....

Amigos knew they had to win last night. Earlier, Coca Cola had thumped Redstar 7-1!

Early play was pretty even but there appeared a lack of movement & communication from a couple of early Amigos sorties in their opponents half.

Despite the Manager's instructions to push away from Ollie when we had the ball & leave Mick as the main outlet, Cel came back to goal to pick the ball up. Pressure from Oldan on Cel & Mick resulted in a snap shot being fired past Ollie. 0-1

Further frustration moving the ball up the pitch forced Ollie out of his goal & with no one running for him he decided to shoot ....... a screamer past the bemused Oldan Keeper! A great effort to inspire us! 1-1

Still, we were quiet, with the most noise coming from the Manager on the side lines. Again, we gave a loose pass straight to our opponents & they fired it past Ollie! 1-2

Del was put on for Mick, but we still portrayed a lack of urgency across the pitch with Marcel increasingly frustrated by the lack of options on.

A break away sent an Oldan player free & he cooly slotted home! 1-3

Only a a great bit of tracking back by John stopped a further break away.

1-3 down at half time meant major surgery!

Cel went in goal. Gary on for Cel on the right, Haywood on for John. Alan stuck to the left. Del at the back.

The second half saw more tackles & marking from Amigos. Also less chances for Oldan.

Finally, dominant play allowed Alan to slot in a goal! 2-3

Marcel was pushing up creating angles for penetrating passes, however this allowed Oldan the odd break on goal. It was on one of these that they got the killer fourth goal. Marcel diving low to the corner, getting a hand on it ... but it just crossed the line. 2-4

Amigos immediately replied with another good effort from Alan! 3-4

Further chances fell to Del, John & Alan but none were converted & the game ran out!

Third place is a decent finish for our first season, however, a little disappointing given the good position we were in a few weeks ago.

I'd like to thank everyone who's contributed to this season & don't forget, we've got a Cup game next week against the Division 1 Winners - Rudolph Huckers @ 8pm. Easy, easy! Easy, easy!
