I used to connect to xbox live via my laptop. Putting cable into laptop and having that on my wireless router set up.
Now it won't connect doesn't get an IP address, says something abut my DHCP not working. Now i looked on Router settings and it all seems fine but still it won't connect.
Worked fine before now it's very frustrating as want to play LIVE can any people who know about these things please help me

I didn't realise you could plug the 360 into a laptop and get access that way...
I'm definitely gonna be online tonight now

Mine is set up similarly.
My PC has a wireless network card in the back as the Wireless Router is downstairs. So I used an ethernet cable to plug my 360 into the Network Card and job done, wireless 360.

I can do that with mine, i think.
I have a wireless router, with a network card in my PC from when we had cable, so... i can connect my 360 through my PC I hope.

TBH it was trial and error and I can't remember what I changed. I'm sure it was something to do with sharing a connection and a firewall though. Can't be certain however Not too helpful I know.
