thats what i thought ive never failed a car for the wheels sticking out to far might be a rule somewhere though

i thought mine would fail the mot but they dont . the only reason you can fail wheels for that is if its a sharp edge caused by corrosion or a sharp edge caused by damage .. there is nothing in the mot book about wheels that stick out from the arches ... but im sure the plod would have a different say on it

im a mot tester too and was looking for ages for things to fail my car on but couldnt find any .. ive got visions of being pulled by the plod and them saying my wheels arent legal and then asking me what i do for a living .. and also the fact my car has no cat lol

theres so many things that the plod can do you for that aren't actually testable items aren't there, also a car doesnt have to be in great nik to pass an mot its really basic

with the old system some testers used to fail cars when they should pass but you cant now with comp, it wont let u!!

me being stupid maybe, but with that black corsa, surely it wud hit the arches loads cos of the wheels sticking OUT the arch? wudnt it jsut pull the arch off
