I'm thinking of buying a corsa 1.4 sport, I can't get any thing faster as i have 4 points on my licence and a claim in my first year of driving and am only 19  I was just wondering how fast can you get these, BHP wise, as i've heard of some being 130ish and was just wondering if anyone had got this kinda horse out of one with what mods.

If you'd modded a 1.4 to 130bhp and declared it, it'd work out cheaper to just get a 1.6 and insure that, but I guess you have no intentions of declaring do you, so you're insurance will be invalid and you'll be driving illegally.

mite aswell stick a 2.0ltr xe in it if this is what he's obviously planning on doing, plus it'll work out cheaper probably!

i was going to go down the route of getting as much possible power from my 1.4 sort, but instead im Xe'ing it instead would work out alot cheaper, my 1.4 with mantzel replica and full powerflow exhaust and filter gave out a reading of 111bhp the other week on a rolling road day. for just those mods i could have had an xe and money left over

powerflow exhaust = £250ish
copy inlet = £200
how could you have an xe and have a conversion kit and all fitted with money left over for £450?

i just meant the actual xe, not the fitting cost's and conversion stuff etc.

im just saying, to get 130 from a 1.4 would probably work out more than paying for an xe, converison parts and fitting etc. i was stating that for what i have already done i could have bought the actual xe.

I wouldn't think of illegally insureing a car mate, i was just asking what modifications are out there for a 1.4!
