Thought i'd do a little progress report of the pug as i have quite a lot planned for it and don't want to lose track of what i've done!!

Yesterday i fitted the show cage so here are pics of that...

and one of the dimma cage that used to in there before Mark brought it, when i was supposed to buy it first time round!!!

I hope you like them, as i say got a bit planned, hopefully should get the boss for my momo steering wheel on the weekend, i have 2 people getting back to me, one selling brembo 4 pots , and the other selling a quickshift. Then after christmas i'm taking it to my mates bodyshop to get the boot dehandled which will complete the exterior until i get some scmidt th lines

Hope this is in the right section

getting my new momo fighter steering wheel on the weekend now. along with the handbrake and gear knob.

then the first week in jan a company round the back of my office called Sounds Alarming are fitting a new alarm with remote engine start and a boot popper all ready for the boot to be smoothed along with a new set of top of the range pioneer 6x9's (they sound amazing), 2 10" directed audio subs along with a directed audio 2400d class amp so this free's up 2 channels on the amp i have so i can amp up the front components too, and if they sound shit then they're putting in either fenton components or these older sony ones but they are seriously high quality kevlar coned jobbies but he's gotta work out how much he wants for them first as he said they're quite old but are the dogs bollox for sound quality!!!!!! Exciting stuff for me!!!!

Looks great mate, the show cage looks very different from the dimma/ebay cages what make is it???

As for brakes the 4 pots look great but i've heard the 283mm GTI-6 set up is just as good but loads cheaper

I'm picking up my quickshift tomorrow night

well the brakes are on the back burner. only reason i was looking at them was cos i wanted a sc, but thats not gonna happen for a while and the brakes i have are more than adequate!!!

it's an mps cage. the bottom pic of it was a dimma cage that the previous owner to mark had in but took it out before he sold it!!! I think the mps cage looks alot better than the dimma one.

i have heard that quickshifts put a lot of strain on the gearbox??? is this true??? If not i mite get one as i think it'd make a fair difference.

All the quickshift does is reduce the throw of the gear lever nothing to do with strain on the box itself.

I prefer the look of the dimma cage myself lol.

What brakes you got on just now??? I have brembo grooved discs with greenstuff pads and goodridge hoses all round

well they're grooved disks and uprated pads. not sure on makes as they were there when i brought it. i brought it half done so i can just do a few finishing touches / improve already improved things!!! Otherwise i'd never have a nice modified car if i got something standard!!!
