Did anyone else just hear that??
A guy in CL tonight got subbed, he then got sent off and the manager has obviousl already subbed him!!
So basically they had a player sent off yet still have 11 men
Hows that work then, I swear I heard that right lol:

must of been sent off AFTER he went off the pitch.
As if he got sent off as he was walking off he was technically still in play so the sub couldnt come on.

If you are sent off in the tunnel before kick off you are allow to be replaced.
So it must be the same as he was no longer in play.

I only found out about a month ago, was in a quiz. Only go a player down when you are in play.

so if its half time and there is a mass brawl, couple of players get sent off you can replace them? Or is half time classed as in play?
Is a strange rule that, as after you hand the teamsheet over to the ref you'd expect a sending off to stand if someone did so in the tunnel before the game.
Good to know though

Not sure at half time, would imagine its the same though.
Though I would imagine the FA would go mad at it.

They can't get 'sent off' as they are not 'on' they wouldn't be able to take to the field of play for the second half however if they were red carded.
You can also be red carded on numerous occasions in the one game, has happened a couple of times.

If you were to get red carded in the tunnel at half time you are unable to take the field of play again.
If you recieve a red card and continue to swear and hassle the referee he is within his rights to red card you again and again.
One player up here, Dave Bowman, was suspended for almost 20 games for numerous red cards as he continued abusing the referee all the way up the tunnel

I get it now, was what I thought, but was best to get you to explain it more
Makes sense that rule to be red carded more than once....100 games though is a bit harst, thats like 3 seasons
