Hi guys, doing my wheels gloss black this weekend was going to use normal paint but someone has told me to paint them using smooth black hammerite spray cans and it will give a glass like effect and you dont have to laquer or primer etc...

Anyone used this stuff before and can confirm its good shit lol

its crap mate, only good for painting things that need high temperature like engines etc, for you wheels if you ccant spray or its diy, use rattle cans, making sure you prime them first

Just saves having to spend loads on paint etc 3 cans of primer, paint, and laquer...

halfords rattle cans!

sand down a bit to smoother, a fairly thick coat of normal black, then did metallic black (quite thin stuff) couple of coats, then couple of coats of lacceur.

used hammerite out the tin for the inside as you can't see them, and thicker stuff will protect better.

15 months on..... still look very good, no chips/cracks etc etc and clean up very nicely

in my experience, prima over painted service makes the paint you put on top crack, although this is only on plastics, never tried it on metal

all with rattle cans

BUT powder coating is better
