wen converting to a f28 do you have to replace the mounts or will the f20 ones fit? also does anyone have any info on the tiebar lowering mounts? is there anything else you need to change?

seen theres 2 types of body for the gearbox mount. type 1 and 2? whats the difference/ which do i need?

you'll need type1 mount then. you know you have to drill and tape rear of the gearbox to suit f20 mount
|

yup no probs. everything is turning up nx week, box diff 2wd con, clutch and flywheel. u2u me wen you have the mounts in and will paypal you the money soon as if thats ok. just out of interest what senario wud a type 2 one be needed in?

silly question just and a look at the pair of them on eb's.
as for the speedo ring on the diff can i recyle the one on my shot f20 to replace the blue 28one or do i have to buy new?

You do indeed need the Type 1 f28 mount for your shell type!
This is what it looks like:
You will also need an F28 2wd conv kit:
You will be ok to reuse the F20 speedo from your old box, they are easily removed.
If you need there is a downloadable instruction sheet on my website which explains were needs drilling and tapping on the f28 casing e.t.c.

yep good news. everything is in place now bar the mount. need to go grab the car as its stuck in devon. going down nx week hopefully with the trailor toeing it back to oxford to start the work. will take some pictures and post them up with the progress for advice / a reference for people doin it in the future.

abit confussed again here, the mount in the pic looks suspiciously like the one on mine on the belt side not the gearbox one? can someone just confirm that this is my imagination?

i did most of the work today, gearbox is in and mounted, made the linkage fit and started fitting fuel lines/ boost hose etc. would like to post up some pics. anychance someone could u2u me and tell me how to do it, not exactly a computer wiz!
