my dad had the estate V40 (same engines etc.) and it was a really good car... drove well, never broke down after 3 years an 90,000 miles and still felt good at 90k, felt like it had plenty of life left in it...

I see no reason to get one unless you have 2 kids & a nagging wife. Mav will agree

MY S40 T4 CD 200bhp

Can't fault it, full leather, electric everything...200bhp and 0-60 under 7 secs...Heated seats blah blah..

Have had it for about a year and runs like a dream...

I wouldn't have any other model though, this is the range topper T4 CD..

Never thought i would have a volvo until I seen this and drove it and wanted it there and then..Made quite a few mods aswell now though..

Very sturdy safe cars...

Can't comment on the diesels or lower spec models though....

Check www.s40concepts.net and www.pvguk.co.uk or .com / .org

click on my garage for loads of pics....You have to get over the stigma ppl seem to assume with volvos though, how narrow minded some are Colin...

My Dad has a 1.9 diesel one (company car), goes ok, does over 450 miles per tank. Full electrics etc. It's done 83k in 2 1/2 years and its going strong, just the usual tyres, etc been replaced.
