Right, me and Gaz are due to go on holiday in just over 2 weeks time. We booked the holiday over a year ago now, and since we booked it we have recieved amendmants upon amendmants, one including our flights have changed to a different airline.... Etc....

Got to Gaz's yesterday, and he recieved yet another letter saying that there will be maintenance being carried out for the first couple of days we'll be there.... But we're talking about foreign builders here , so it could go on longer...

Do you think we have the right to complain about all the changes and ask to be moved hotels in the same resort for all inclusive for the same price? Or at least get some compensation?

It's worth a try, what's the worst that can happen, they'll say no?

Best thing you can do is ring them up and at least ask them.

I would only worry if they were using British builders. Though, I guess it does depend on where you're going because some countrys do actually manage to have builders who are lazier than English ones. Hopefully they will be Polish and the job will be done a couple of days earlier.

I would call, complain, and ask to be moved

What does your T&C say about building work? you could agrue if it isnt in there that you arent paying to have your first few days interrupted by builders

They rang me house earlier to say that we have an email, but they've emailed to Gaz so he'll have to see what they have said later... If it isnt good news then i shall go down on Thursday..

I looked on the website, but they aint showing that they have any spaces left in the hotels

Ive sent a letter to my bank and the company we bought our bed from.

I'll be the type of woman that writes in to 'points of view' soon

Well Read the email that got sent to us earlier today, said that they would amend our hotel and move us to a different hotel for £223 extra.

The only hotel they had left was a 4+ star

So went down with my mum before to pay off the money, but the woman rang up the head office to try get some more money off... Finally got another £100 off... and some sort of charity money

So finaly me and Gaz are going here....

Much better than the original 2+ star

Well pleased
