probably new pads but this is my first year driving so i dont know what needing new pads would feel like!

whenever i put my brakes on lightly it feels like constant abs but i dont have any abs so whats goin on? if i press hard it stops

did you say you replaced the pads?

does it do it at highe spped when you brake?

this did it on my gsi jay, after i replaced the disc's and pads did you put any copper grease on the back of the pad as when they get hot this can happen, if it still does it then change pads again

yeh at high speed, havent changed the pads yet, above 40 it starts has got a little better had my car fixed at the weekend and that involved grease so some of that might have got caught on there

grease on the face of the pads = pads wrecked.

does it feel like a judder? can you feel it in the steering and the pedal?

no just on the pedal, same feeling as abs but a bit lighter and slower

could be faulty master cylinder, vaccum hose, servo, rear drums warped, rear brake cylinder leaking or broken rear brake shoes......
