I have done quite a bit to my exterier on my new corsa sport 1.6 sport but now its time to do something to the engine or performance people tell me! but i dont have a clue about engines etc can anyone give me a little help in what to buy first i have a piper cross induction kit!also could add prices of the things recommended! thanks jay

i also have a cat back remis exhaust with a backbox on it! i need a new wxhaust tho soon!

No point in any tuning with the standard inlet still on IMO.

It replaces the standard shitty inlet for a shorter less restrictive design.

He means the inlet manifold. The silver bit with 4 branches. They are quite restrictive and most people replace them for a mantzel, dblias etc.

An aftermarket Inlet is probably the single most cost offective performance mod to an x14xe / x16xe yours is an (x16xe) can be found in classified section usualy around £300 and mechanic should be able to fit, the likes of the lexmaul are easy DIY.

expect to see in the of 125 BHP with little or no other mods on the x16xe,

On the lexmaul increased power delivery will be from around 4500 upwards, the mantzel I believe is from around 5500

The lexmaul I believe is the better option for a day to day road car as its design help maintain torque delivery at lower RPM, The Mantzel will however offer more peak BHP especially with a remap and raised rev limit.
