Well its been a long time since i added to the thread,
so for those who are wondering what i have been up to
I have rubbed the passenger door down to bare metal and have started spraying her back up in 2k Etch Primer.
I will be spraying some blue on within the next 24hrs as long as everything goes to plan

Wel Well.......... A bizare twist to the project.
Basicly, I thought the finish was sh1te, the base coat was different shades, due to me being an amatuer and probably taking on a task which was too much.
The good news, The Hyundai has been rubbed down again and we have choosen a Gloss over 2k paint, This time the car is all going to be finished in one colour, Tempted to leave the wheels white........

Metalics are hard'ish to paint to get a good even coat all over so you dont get patchie (like you said with the differant shades)
- Good way light coat to start
- Leave it to flash off
- Wet Coat
- Leave it to flash off
- Drop/dust coat this is where you turn the pressure down alittle and spray alittle farer back from the panel.
Doing the drop coat will stop the uneven patchie look, and make the metalic flakes to stand up evenly.

finish seems abit better the paint has laid smooth and shiney still got an orange peel finish but feels smooth
not sure what pressure i got at the gun but its set at 2.5 bar from the compressor
Been told not to have anymore than 2.5 at the gun, is that right ?

If your compressor is at 2.5 bar then your going to loose pressure to the gun.
To be 100% my advice is buy one of the below items (air pressure regulator) which sits at the bottom of your gun, wind the air flow screw to its max and then set gun pressure off the regulator so on half trigger it reads 2bar/30psi
