I left my 360 on paused on a race on TDU.....
Came back an hour later and I see three red lights on the console 
I turned it off and back on. Everything seemed to load up fine?!
Should I be worried?

It's not a good sign, but as it loaded up again you might be alright..... for now.

I had that, was caused by the power cable not being in good and proper. Doesnt it also do that if it overheats?

As soon as my bro got his one, 3 red lights came on, and it wouldn't work again. We took it back to the shop and the guy said it was basically garfuncalled so gave him another one. As said, its the ring of death

my mates core console shows red lights when it power saves? also turns screen off.

if the ring of death didnt kill your 360 there and then i would look at how you've got it stored. eg: is it on its side? have you given it enough room at the back? is the power block crammed in with other stuff? do you let it get overly dusty?
do a quick search on some 360 forums as if yours still works then theres still hope
