I do around 30/40 miles per day and own a 1.0b corsa.
Just wondering, seeing as this is the only car i have ever owned, what would be the fuel consumption difference if I get a, say, 1.2 corsa or ever an 1.4
Huge difference, or very small?

I'd say you'd notice the difference with a 1.4, possibly get better fuel economy on a 1.2, depends if it's an 8v or 16v though.
I also have a 1.0 12v. The trouble is, for town and A-road driving it gets good fuel economy but once on the motorway, it isn't so good because the engine is ticking over at such a high rate.
I get MUCH better fuel economy than my girlfriends 1.4 16v Fiesta.

my 1.4 8v SRi seems to get a good 40mpg+ unless i career around on sunday mornings  (i know it sounds a bit much but ive used all sorts of calculators and its true......i got 55mpg once   )
