i got 2 quotes today, to semi-smooth my boot!(remove lock and wiper) and smooth and spray! £450 and £250 is £250 a good price?

all i know is 450 is a rip off. around 200 would be fair so 250 should be a good job.

we would normally charge aroung £250 to do it but u could guarentee the job to be spot on and all welded up and no shitty filler job!

450 is main insurance aproved bodyshop big big big company type quote. quaranteed for at least 3 years etc

250 is top end back street garage, small insurance approved bodyshop if u get wot i mean..

both at that money should be oven baked. find out the quarantee on the 250 job...

You need to paint into the roof and the rear quaters. Plus the whole boot needs painting. Thats about £200 odd's work already. Welding over a boot isn't childs play either. It takes a lot to get stuff perfectly flat. You can't comment on how things are expensive before you have acutally done it yourself.

Is a piece of piss to do, i can do it for £200 and it will be painted by a pro in an oven. Can supply a tailgate aswell at extra cost if you would like to keep ya old 1!!

only the middle part needs to be painted so basically the colour goes in the middle and you laquer all the way up to the edge so your not painting edge to edge!

For £250 we would have a spot on job and we give a 3 year guarantee on all our work!

where abouts did u get quotes mate? i know a few bodyshops about that you could try
