So you can choose which one to use.
Same as your screen brightness level, will be in bios and/or quickset.
Most components will be able to be switched on or off via bios and/or quickset.

bios didnt have anything for just the nipple... ive removed the nipple but the cursor is still jumping around

Control panel, mouse options bit, there is an option to only have the pad on and not the stick.

Muchos gracias to John... went to see laptop support earlier, they installed the new driver and hey presto... nipple disabled
