^ that real? lol. on a google search it seems to only find links to a conversion cable for the normal X-Box controller. not a proper USB one. im gonna pop into my local store tomorrow anyway but just wondered if anyone knew!?

All you need is a normal 360 controller

The 360 controller connects via USB anyway. The one packaged as "for Windows" is simply a normal wired controller with a Windows driver CD. XP will get the driver off Windows Update anyway, so you don't need it. Rumours are that they're releasing something or other to allow you to use the wireless controllers with Windows.

oh right so if i walk in and buy a normal 360 controller i can use it with windows? wireless sounds damns good. but i dont need one of those straight away so im okay with waiting anyway.

they have the wireless one here

Yes. They use standard USB connections and when Windows asks for a driver, tell it to look online.
