I NEED arch work done on my car as im fed up of people telling me my car looks stupid cause I have wide arches and the wheels hide away in them!! but in fact the wheels are mm's from the car arch!
I need all four chopped away and I'm lowering the car a further 20mm, how much is this going to set me back (just chopping arches so I can fit spacers) or is this something I can get my bf to do wtih an angle grinder?!

your best off using an air saw the one that vibrates that cuts through metal
reason being you need to take it as close to the wide arech as possible and grinder you risk going right through not accurate enough and then tap the remainding metal up to touch inner arch then you can space and drop

this is wot always put me off wide archs.
u cut the archs to accomodat but seeing as a corsa has an inner wheel arch panel there with 1/4 welded to it, if u cut the quarter away then the inner will be left floating and not be tall enuff to meet with how far u cut the 1/4 up and they wouldnt be welded together and itll let crap in.
only way imo to do it correctly would be to cut ur 1/4 up as far as u need to then cut out ur inner wheelarch and fabricate a new one for it and weld it all up
be different on a car such as a 106 etc which the 1/4s are single skinned at the bottom of the arch

wot like? plastic covers or wot??
still loosing slot of strength out of the rear of the car doing that (chopping the two archs away from each other)
only proper way is to fabricate new inner archs to suits outter 1/4s

for my rear psg arches, we just cut the 2 skins diff lenghts, so the outer skin folded up and welded back to the inner.
