I'm no website designer. But my friend and I have managed to come up with this. Though I have noticed a lot of visitors leave the site after 30 seconds (the majority do stay for 30 mins - an hour). I am wondering if I have a problem with the login page layout. It is mainly a members club site, but we do allow guests in too to get them to come to events and on our trips and stuff.
I am just needing some help to try and get people into the site so could a few people give me a bit of feedback on it please...

Thanks

How many is a lot?
Could be web bots etc.
Or just people realising the site isnt what they were looking for?

Or it could be that they fail to notice the guest logon link and leave thinking you need to be a member.

not really an answer to your question but...
when I roll over the links on that first page they go bold but then stay bold when my mouse is pointed off them. Doubt this was part of the design?
Using firefox on a Mac.

I was just worried that people didn't notice the guest login link...

You've also got a javascript error on line 232 of the main page.

Couldn't you just take users straight to that main page as a guest, with the option to log in somewhere?

I was considering doing that. It's just this has been the way the site always has been so I carried it on...

Good move
You will get more users browsing the site if they are taken straight to the content

Done that now. Think I need to move the login form into the head of the page somehow. Or figure out how to use cookies to store login info and automatically log people in because the session expires after about 30 mins of ideling.
