I left football and my way home was closed for re surfacing so I followed a diversion. Massive tail backs with people entering from side streets. My quickest route was a no right turn so I carried on out of my way. Another quick route forbid me from turning that way so again I drove furher away. I got to another possible turn off that was fenced off for road works!!! So again I went further out! I then thought I'd got on to an easy way home until I hit more road works restricted to a 20mph zone! Took me best part of 30 minutes to do a 15 minute journey! Grrrr!

Well I was going to follow the Evening Press van making that turn but there were cars coming and people behind me!

Driving to London once got forced off M6 at roadworks. Slip road back on was closed had to go back to last junction. Slip road closed. Had to go back three junctions and start again.
Added about half an hour to a 3 1/2 hour journey.

Quite a while. I was doing well, no traffic at all (Major roadworks on the A2)... Then all of sudden it just stopped...
I eventually peeled off, only to see all the cars still on the A2 (everything being directed off), with no lights on, a very strange site. 3 lanes as far as you could see, full with parked cars and lorries.
Took me an hour n a half...
I called DOnna, she was 5 miles from home, it took her an hour n half...
There was a gas leak or something and they shut the road of. No biggy, only THE most major road into Kent from London. Only about 20,000+ cars and lorries directed into Gravesend and all surrounding back roads.
Was a complete nightmare last night.
God i love bikes...... I happily swapped a heater and a radio to be home a dood hour or 2 before everyone else last night
