I want to fit GSi clocks into my 1.2 8v LS;
firstly is this possible? Anything to look out for or that I need to do? 
Secondly is it possibly to adjust the mileage so that it matches whats currently on the car; ie if the clocks read 50,000 can I adjust them to 90,000 ?

oh and its a sense of achievement I want to get upto 150,000 on a 1.2 8v

yes there is a way ive asked somebody becuase im buying clocks off him and i need to put milage up too  when you take it off at the back u can sorta mess about with it, he said it takes bout 10-15 mins

Easiest way for analogue speedo's is using a drill. Please note I have never done this.
You know on Matilda the film when her dad does it, that actually works. I've seen it done BUT the mileage was being put forward, not back.

You can put the clocks forward easy enough by spinning the cable with a drill. problem is that even at 150mph it will take 11 days.
You need to disassemble in which the case the procedure is the same as if you were clocking backwards. Strip down, faff about trying not to snap stuff, reassemble in reverse order.

just make a not of what your standar clocks are on and what your new clocks are on, MY 97 1.2 8v is on 34K, i never intend on selling it though, its on 87 in real terms

ok...on a corsa (non digi) you undo the back of the speedo casing
then slide the pin out....
..re-align the rollers to correct milage.
#..re insert pin.
done

I just moved the numbers around on mine when i fitted rev counter clocks. Saved taking everything to bits

Most modern speedo's go on past 100k.
Of course it's illegal to tamper with any speedo, but putting the mileage forward i.e. 30k to 50k is better than reducing it.

It is not illegal to ammend the milage. The term is called milage correction. The illegal part is if you wish to sell on the car without notifying the new buyer of the changed.
I know because i work for HPI !

so for example on my orignal clocsk there is 98,000 and on some other clocks there is 58,000 its ok to change the mialge on the other cloks so it reads same as mine with out letting anyone know?

Well no. Its legal to change the clocks, but illegal to sell on the car without tellin anyone the clocks have been changed !
