Got the time and date working now. Thanks pdwhelan.

Does anyone know why the temperature gauge might not be working properly?

If the temp guage is reading --:-- then its more than likely the sensor behind the front bumper is disconnected or faulty.

mine was the actual unit it self because mine would read -34 some times, changed it last week and its perfect, i thought it might of been the sensor. My new one doesnt display the time opr date either now when i have the cd player in, my old one never used to at first and i done somthing to the thing and it started working. Probably cut the right wire by accident or shorted somthing wich may of caused it to give the wrong readings some times and it would also just go off all together.

How do i get into all the wires for it and stuff ? To check it's plugged in. Do i have to take the dash out ?

I'll have a look in my haynes manual.

just take the two air vents out, use a screw driver carefully in both sides and pull it out, bit fiddly. then you will see two screws holding the unit in place, thats it. Its just one plug. 5min job
