Car keeps dying when i turn my lights on. The rear fog light is on on the dash, and everytime you go to turn it off, the engine cuts out. It stays on even when the lights aren't on.
The fuel gauge reads empty when there's half a tank in there too.
If i turn the lights on with the ignition off and then turn the foglight off, it starts and idles fine, Fuel gauge reads correctly too. But as soon as you move the engine dies.
Any help much appreciated

Fixed!! turned out to be a rear bulb. So anyone with an XE who has any problem... check your bulbs

a fooking bulb made it keep cutting out!! ive got a numberplate bulb out, beta check if it turns over!! lol

Something has to be wired up wrong for that to happen. Or atleast to wires are touching that shouldn't be, something is def not right

Lol, Amazing how Simple things Cause Such Problems, in my last cari bought a sub 2 amps and a set of 6x9's from an Audio Shop near by, anyway they offered to fit them for free, So i do a bit of shopping come back and didnt bother looking at the wiring ect... untill 30 metre's down the street i tap my brake and the car cuts out.. Seemed the Noobs had Earthed My amp to The rear lights so each time i braked my car died....
Avoid Taz Technics in Manchester... Proffesionals Pfffft
