I just went to get some food out of rhe freezer a minute ago, opened the door, and there's loads more 'frost' than there normally is, and the food isn't properly frozen.
WTF is wrong with it?
I can't actually afford new food

have you left the door open slightly?
If you can chip it away so its back to normal do that, otherwise its a defrost jobby!

its been defrosted slightly, everythings got wet and then re-frozen and iced up.

You need to defrost it fully. Shortcuts never work
One of mine is a right pain in the bum, needs doing every week. Getting rid of it soon though! Me Dad keeps saying he will buy me a new one but never gets around to it

Scraped as much ice off as I could, btu I'll probably die from food poisoning now, from semi-defrosted food

Is it frost free??? Mine isnt, wish I had paid the extra now because defrosting is a pain in the hoop!!!
