OK, basically to cut a long story short, I live right next to a primary school and the school driveway is at the bottom of the garden about 10-15 metres from the house window.
About 6-10 months ago the school put a speed bump directly opposite mine and next doors house and set the speed limit to "5mph".
Ever bastard since they've done this, any motor that isn't a car (ie: Big fuck off vans, bin lorries, you name it) horse it up the school drive completely ignoring the speed limit they've painted on the floor and speed past the house, ignoring the speed bump as it has little effect to the motors. However, every time, and no word of a lie, these big vehicles actually manage to shake the house in the process.
I've rang the school countless times complaining, and they say they've rang all the companies to tell them to slow down, but none of them take a blind bit of fucking notice. Council also didn't seem to give a shit either.
Will this be completely fucking the foundations of the house? Does anyone know the right people to see about this and get this bastard speed bump removed?

It wont effect the foundations unless you are talking about 40 ton tankers every 5 minutes
Call the your local police station and ask for advice there

Only thing that comes to mind is noise pollution
http://www.defra.gov.uk/environment/noise/noiseact.htm
If this is happening at night you might have some cause to complain

I know round by me theyve started giving 'community officers' (basically old tw@ts with no power) handheld speed cameras and these are outside the schols every so often. They cant do anything if your speeding other than note down the number plate and the police will then verbally warn the drivers.
So if you have this round your area maybe you could persuade them to be around the school every so often. It wouldnt get rid of it 100% but would stop some of it atleast.

There is a primary school just over my garden fence. it's a 30MPH limit.
And i think that is still TOO fast. i do 20 past it.
Range rovers, disco's, KIA (big thing) and the rest park both side of the road.
End of the day. They'll just say it's to slow people down.
