they always have been, they dont bring in anywhere near enough to cover their spending sprees they go on and certainly not their wage bill....which is going to increase if they want to keep all their stars as they want the same as Ballack is on!

TBH chesea culd lose money for the next 10 years, Roman could soon balance the books (providing there is no investgiation into his dealings in russia)

its if he gets bored or buys an F1 team that they should worry about. He wont want to bankroll them forever and unless they find a way to keep costs down and keep increasing revenue they are screwed.

Do wonder how long it would take for them to have thier books balanced if they lived in the real world i.e. Chelsea will have taken around 600+M by the time they break even for a season.
Even if Roman left now I am sure most banks would loan them the extra the need to survive the next few years knowing they will get it back.
Would be interesting to see if they went a seasons without winning anything.
