thought i would finally get round do doing a progress thread on my car. i bought it in november 2005 for £600, it was a N reg 1.2 8 valver

it came with a spaxo spoiler, m3 sideskirts, gsi bumper and a few other little bits. it also had a few rust spots on the bottoms of doors and a few dents here and there so i booked it in at the bodyshop and decided i wanted a car with a bodykit but to still look classy and not in your face

while it was in the bodyshop the first time

once they had it all painted they dropped it off at my work place on a trailer and it was back at the body shop that week you could see the filler lines where they had done the roof rails (not even welded them), outlines of doorhandles, no laquer in some places and loads of imperfections.

once it was back at the bodyshop, about 3 months later it was ready this time it looked a lot better and i took it away that day. when my boss drove it home for me i had fitted my carbon bonnet that night and the catch came off which resulted in me needing a new windscreen lol but once it was home things started getting better firstly got my standard rear lights in and gave it a really good clean up to get rid of all the dust

heres the pics

i then started doing little bits to it slowly as im an apprentice mechanic on £80 a week lol.

i fitted my astra G smoked side repeaters, tigra scuttle panel and bonnet pins which i will be painting black as they stand out a wee bit too much.

then purchased and loosley fitted my purple and cream leather interior and a few black dash parts off danweilman will be coming out again soon as i will be sound proofing the whole car.

more progress pics soon to follow
