its doing my head in, everytime i switch on the puter it comes up saying a network cable is unplugged so i have to disable it everytime.. i used to connect with it when i had my old bt voyager router but now i have wireless, how can i stop it enabling itself though?

control panel, network connections.
Right click on the connection thats doin' it and go to properties. Untick boxes at the bottom.
Notify me when limited or no connectiviity, or the other ones thats there.
or u cud just disable the NIC in device manager...

Just disable the old network connection rather that disabling the error messages because they might be usefull one day.
