I watched the highlights on MOTD last night and from what i saw Stevie G was able to bomb forward a hell of alot due to mascherano playing in that defensive role.
I was impressed and think this could be the key to Pool's push for 3rd place.
Steve Mclaren please take note and drop fat frank.

TBH its nothing he couldnt do when Alonso or Sissoko are in the middle aswell, both of those sit back and allow him to attack.
I still think him on the right with the ability to go inside whenever is his best position for us (not for England) as means he has NO defensive duties that way, aslong as we have a good RB who can get forward and back, which Finnan hasnt been able to do this season.

McLaren wants to give fat frank 1 half and Stevie G one half...next game in centre mid...then whoever does best gets the shirt with Owen Hargreaves in the middle...
