I'm all for wired, we have wireless in the house but I'm still a fan of abit of wire.

check diz shit out

The buildings in question is the house on right (I'm actualyl based on the far right of the house, at the back) and the big barn on the left. Directional wireless may be the only real option I have here because doing a cable job is going to be a proper bodge and I like things nice.

One thing we did before was to bury some CAT5 in some hose pipe and wire the buildings together. That seemed to work. Though we replaced it with wireless now.

Also, all our barns have telephone lines going overhead. You can cable tie CAT5 to them and run wires along them if you like bodging stuff

a decent AP and a high gain aerial will cover 100 SQm no probs

if you want to keep the wireless in one area go for a panel antenna like this

Steve if you can that would be very kind, I've been stung before by shitty wireless access points (linksys) and really after an review/opinion from someone with first hand experience such as yourself.

If you want wireless then i would go a linksys/dlink with F-connector style aerial connection and use a directional antenna. Dlink also do outdoor wireless bridges/repeaters etc that might be useful.

Personally though i would get some piping from B&Q/Wickies and just dig a trench and lay the pipe. Then you can feed what ever you like down it
