If i wanted to make a make up copy of a special Edition film is this legal and what software is the best to do this

Latest nero is really good, Backed up my mates computer the other night using it. Well over 10gig of stuff and only took 4minutes to tranfer it to dvd, so i wouldnt expect to burn a dvd using it would be long

Not sure about the legal side of things what, what they don't know won't hurt
