Just got a Tagan PSU for the pc and it has a separate ground wire that has to be mounted to the motherboard fixings (about as much as the manual states), but just wondering if thats actually on the motherboard (on top) or to the casing?

It'll be a common earth, I would attach it to whatever major bit of metal you have a handy screw at.
Motherboard to case screw would do the job.

ive got a tagan psu too, but i didnt bother attaching the ground wire, and ive had no probs

just attach it to motherboard scews or PCI slot screws
