anyone know what to look for?..what not to.

ive only just found they make a 2ltr, aswell as the v6

and performance stats etc would be great

Feature on one in Total Vauxhall this month. Haven't read it yet but there might be some tips on buying etc.

there is not a vectra st i know there is a focus st and mondeo st and a fiesta st

The one in TV is an ST200, different car completely from the ST, the ST is an SRi with different wheels and colourcoded bumper tops basically, ST200 has better suspension, brakes, interior trim, more power and more.

ahh, so the 'basic' ST was just a tarted up SRi..
130bhp etc.....??..standard brakes, interior, x20xev engine?

yeah, same spec as the Sri, so you could have the X20XEV or X25XE, I think (not sure) the only differences were the wheels and bumper tops (and badging) but even so, they're quite rare, and thus cool.

I saw a Vectra VXR today, it has a 5 character numberplate ending in VXR

'Normal' Supertouring was a special edition SRi, basically top of the range before Vauxhall released the GSi. Approx 500 made in a combination of 2l 16v (X20XEV) and 2.5 V6 (X25XE).

Came with:
*Irmscher front bumper (same as pre-facelift GSi)
*Irmscher 6 spoke 16" Alloy wheels
*Irmscher backbox
*Some came with Irmscher springs & dampners
*Painted rear bumper and side strips
*Irmscher rear spoiler

Inside:
*Plaque on ashtray with build number
*Carbon look Irmscher steering wheel
*Carbon look gear knob
*Carbon coin tray (under handbrake lever)

Superb cars, I loved my old V6. Bargain too considering they are rare.
