i have some argos vouchers left, and instead of keep borrowing tools off people i thought maybe it was about time i bought some myself! so can you recommend anything from argos?

http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Browse/catalogId/10651/identifier/8560983/jspStoreDir/argos/Trail/C%24cip%3D49998%3EC%24cip%3D50098.htm

tbh as cheap as possible, as i very rarely do any DIY! just want it for general use every now and then. i got a cheap electric screwdriver and it was pathetic, my cat has more power so this is why im asking for recommendations this time!

also can you find a spirit level in argos cause i cant lol

whats the difference between a normal drill and a hammer drill?

get a 24v drill, dewalt, makita, or own brands would be alright

the cheapest 24v is £100! i would probably spend £65 MAX. i can get an 18v for that... i guess volts is the best option to look at?

You would be better with 240v rather than cheap battery stuff IMO.

Not always practical TBH, my Dewalt/Bosch drills have been superb so far.

Its not at all about the voltage! You want to be looking at the torque figures in NM, my Bosch 14.4v has 65NM, a cheapo argos one i'd suspect to have about 15NM, so there is a big difference!

Also about batterys, you want to look for the Ah figure, top drills are around 3.0Ah so try and keep to around 2.0Ah if you can afford it.
