Yes it says system builders only...but if i build a new computer for my self, am i able to buy this? is it really that simple?
Can someone explain?

yes it only has to bought at the same time as a piece of hardware. Eg
A case, CPU, Cables etc

i did hear companies selling it bundled with a 99p cable to get around the system builder agreements

you dont have to buy anything with OEM software from ebuyer, bought a OEm copy of Xp a while back.
And i think someone emailed them about vista, and they said you dont.
IIRC with OEM software you can upgarde anything but motherboard, if you upgrade montherboard, you will have to buy another copy

no you just cant activate over the net. you will need to phone Microsoft who will activate it over the phone

I installed vista, formatted, and upgraded everything inc. motherboard. Wouldnt allow me to activate online, had to ring up. But about 5mins later it was all activated with a code this nigerian gave me OEM aswell
