How the fuck can he sell that in that condition?!
How on earth is the buyer meant to get the powder coating from inside the inlet manifold? Ok on the mounting face it can be done - but inside the pipework? GTF!!
The simple soloution would be to mask off the mounting face so the powder doesn't get in there in the first place!
Some fucking people are a waste of oxygen.
Fucking cowboy.

If high temp paint was used would this still be an issue?, is it supposed to be bare metal?

emotionless passion is chavtastic, if he tries too deny it then tell him too fook off.
i brought a chrome rocker cover/spark plug cover off him ages ago and the quality was worser then appalling, as soon as i got it i could see it was pitted all over and looked shitter then a polished one, bits of white powder was falling out of it, too the breather cover inside it off and underneath was covered in white shit, i didnt even bother fitting it and just binned it, it was that bad, got another one off someone else and it was top quality and didnt have any shit in it.
as above i would never buy anything from emotionless passion aka chavtastic(ben) again.

Pretending its not him is his cover for HMRC, he was reported to them by other miggers for not paying tax on his ebay shop. He denied it was him to HMRC, and that is why he now denies it on the forums.

Can someone explain this whole powdercoating business please?
If it was done properly would it flake off?
Should it be done at all on the inside of the cover?
I noticed on the MIG thread people kept refering to small flakes of paint, after purchase cleaning etc.. but I got the impression this wasn't over spray the whole underside was coated?.
Now I know feck all about the mechanics but I'm sure I could change a rocker cover and If I'd have just bought a nice shiny one inside or out. I'd have just fitted it.
If the underside was dirty, had some over spray or had bubbling flaking paint then I'd have cleaned it but I'm guessing this was not the case?

Having read that entire thread I have came to the conclusion that Rob must be stuck in groundhog day I agree with his point though, regardless of car knowledge (which Nic has) the item was substandard, so no matter who bought it, it was faulty and has ruined Nic's engine. So whether you have experience or not, you shouldn't have to check an item which has been sold to bolt straight on (doesn't say otherwise).
