Was a mess in the end. But for the price he did it for you cant argue.
Probably worth 300k ish now due to the size, so should sell up and buy somewhere decent

The pool looked gay, but I can understand why he wanted it.
The carpet in the dome was rubbish too, but that's detail work.
All the doors in the kitchen and the worktops were
For under 100k, like you say, they've got a 300k house, which is pretty good going.

about 120k in the end wasnt it?
If it was me, and I had to stick with a similar design, it would mainly just be decorating work to be done to make it better. Maybe some windows between the study/dining areas into the pool to make it lighter.
Kitchen was very nice though, best part IMO.

I didn't see how far overbudget they went tbh, I only saw the 12.5k and the 80k mortgage, even so, 120 or whatever, it was a massive house for that money.
I would have had a pool table instead of swimming pool.

yeah. Id of had the majority of downstairs open plan. Would of been such a light space that it would of made up for having zero views out of the windows.

shame the covered the mahogany bacony aswel, could have made a nice feature
good that he recycled lots of materials though, shame hecouldnt have got an architect/designer in to give him a different iint of view on that horrible lounge/pool area

I think they would have struggled to do anything useful with the balcony really, but I agree, it was a shame to cover it.

can't complain for what he spent, although it was a bit badly designed, still he did a lot of work himself so fair play to him.
i didnt think much of the pool though.

I thought it was a really good show. It was summed up quite well at the end. What he acheived with the outlay was very impressive and it was just a shame he could not go that bit further and get in an architect to try and sort the design a bit.
Full credit to the guy. At first when he was talking about all the bits he was going to reuse I was not sure but he did a really good job. The way he reused the pues was very clever + little touches like his bed.
I wasn't sure about the pool. Again, can understand why but it was such a shame, even what they did do could have been improved upon.
Have to say at least he can sit back and look at what he has done. IMO much more impresive than a lot of them that start off with a 300K budget, then it just grows and grows and it ends up at 450K.

I watched it, i dint like some of the things he did to it like the dome an the pool, but for 120k he got a nice big 5 bed house out of it, but he gave his job up an was working 16 hour days!! with about 6 days off in 2 years so thats gotta be worth another 100k hasnt it?
