one of the best colours imho

other favorites are rio verde green,brocade yellow,arden blue and smoke grey

with all the new engine bits nearly fitted its not long untill my cars back on the road

no worrys mate,glad they are on now.defo suit my car.gonna get the red paint off the other one though.was thinking of spraying them but might as well leave it till i have all my arches and bumper tops done

finished rebuilding the top end yesterday

fitted

new head
cams
cam carrier
head gasket
cambelt
rocker cover

turn the key


tick,tick,tick

fitted new manifold gasket



turn the key

tick,tick,tick......damn

found out its the inlet manifold gasket

my dads gone to get it now so will be running by tomorrow hopefully

update

got car started but had trouble at start,found out the crank sensor and vacum pipe to map sensor wasnt plugged in which caused the eml to stay on



turned the key

found out it was the cat blocked causeing back pressure

ordered a new 1 today £44 off the bay



should be here tomorrow fingers crossed

so all in all ive had these new parts

New c12nz complete Head (valves,lifters,followers)
Cam Carrier
Cams

Cam belt changed at 100,618 miles......still that to this day as car not moved

Head gasket changed at 100,618

Manifold gasket changed at 100,618

Inlet manifold gasket changed at 100,618

Oil filter and oil change changed at 100,618

Leads changed at 100,618

cat and lambda sensor will be fitted when they arrive

SOLD IT TODAY to a lad off here from kidderminster

hopefully he will treat it the way i did and keep it looking tidy

how much was the head gasket mate? and did you fit it yourself/ get the head skimmed?

think mine has gone

was a lovely car your one. on to bigger and better things?

head gasket was about £6 from a local garage mate,peace of piss to fit.just undo head bolts remove cambelt and take head off.....you have to undo the wiring loom aswell though but easy enough done
