Little help, trying to find out if anyone has had this problem with their wii, and what they did:

My brother plugged his in for first time, turned it on, and it completely blew the leccy sockets in his flat ? He has 2 fuses in his place, and they are both fine. The only thing that has gone are the 2 plugs in the wall (one of which he plugged it into).

I know its a bit random, mine hasn't done anything like it but anyone have any idea's, he doesn't want to ruin anymore sockets, and he rang game and they said "your flat must run on different electric current"...WTF !!

Any electricians or anyone have any bright ideas ?

Thanks

run it off an extension lead with a breaker switch. if it blows the switch then its the unit that is at fault.
