My tax runs out tonight and MOT next monday, i dont have an MOT certificate so cant get it re-taxed What would you do? Im thinking get it SORN and MOT this week and then re tax but i dont have enough for MOT and Tax this week, do you HAVE to have your MOT certificate to get tax otherwise i could tax it this week and MOT next week

no mot no tax
so yes i would sorn in the interim

Its got MOT until may 7th i just cant find the Certificate, can they not check if its got an MOT on their clever computer things???

well if u dont have enough for MOT and Tax then u should not have a car

if your car is mot'd then you can tax it online with the reference number that should be on the tax reminder and they check that car is insured and has mot

Well i bought it in December and apparently my dad checked the certificate but when i got a producer the other month i couldnt find it anywhere so rang the garage up that did it and said that they have it on record and it has an MOT until 7th May
Kerry, thats what i thought but people keep saying i need to have an MOT certificate number or something but i would have thought they could check for themselves wether it has an MOT
