Pow - give me a shout on msn some time, I'm fairly sure I've got a old spare Air flow meter off my 1.2 16v in my garage. I can fit it to for you, it's like a 5 min job.

Pow bug me at work tommorrow on msn (I keep getting distracted/ busy at work to reply) - I'll probably be going to the gym tommorrow anyway, i.e. Windsor - so if you let me know before hand I can probably meet you somewhere in windsor and sort it out, bish, bash, bosh done.

I fitted mine yesterday and it has been fine, but haven't really been out in it, only time will tell. Throttle response does seem better though
When I first fitted, started up all fine took foot off the clutch and it stalled. Then tried starting back up again and it wouldn't turn over. Got out the car, locked it all up, got back in then it was fine. I think the immobiliser on my new alarm had kicked in because the bonnet was open for so long.
All fine now though, and easy peasy to fit, didn't have to take air box out, only the small bent piping on the left of the. AFM as you look at it!
warren.g - thanks for the cheap part
pow - I recommend doing it

Right, newish one fitted, was easy, the two clips and the plug was all it took, no need to take any pipes off.
Been for a small drive and all seems ok
Thanks Paul_J

Exactly the same - mine was just really tight, the flexy hose bit didn't compress that much. . .and I'm a weakling
Phoned the guy who fitted my alarm. It is the immobiliser that stops the car from starting if the car has been unlocked for a while, so nothing to do with the AFM, phewww.
