GT2 and Forza 2 aren't comparable. One was a PS2 release, the other hasn't even been played by anyone yet FFS!

please the other cars follow set paths etc, alo it doesnt matter how much you tweek the suspension it makes little differenc in GT as the handling is so far from real.

I don't like the 'scales' on this...
should say 'More or Less down force' in my opinion. Not More speed, more cornering...
Yes, more downforce on front = more cornering, but if you whack full down force on the rear and none on the front, you'll probably make the car understeer like a bitch and not corner... so the scales are stupid

or damage, but you could change the oil for 10bhp and fit an ironing board on the boot

Sorry?
You directed your comment at my one about adjustments, saying FM2 will be more "in depth" because of this
I'm not arguing that the game will be better dynamically, but the 'set-up' interface is almost identical.
As for the settings not making a difference on GT, don't be silly.... If you make the suspension too hard, the car becomes skittish, like in real life, if you soften it, it dives under braking, too much diff adjustment and it won't go round corners properly, too much camber and it has no grip.
You obviously didn't bother trying.

I was comparing the setup screen, saying that it's nothing amazing, as the one on a 5 year old game is pretty much exactly the same.
I'm not saying GT games on the PS2 are better

i ment supsension setup will have much mor eof an impact as the handling is 10x better than GT and also the other cars wont just ram you so it will be more in depth as handling will make more of an impact rather than just bolt on Stage 4 turbo and NOS
i have all the GT series so far and can say that the handling is so unrealistic it got boring, for example 500bhp RWD jap motor with slick tyres and you try to take a corner it just understeers.
In the end GT was about Power and it didnt matter if you hit the wall just floor it, the other cars just followed a set route at set speeds.
FM2 will be much more about handling, and with 100x better AI should make tweeking your car a lot more worthwhile
