Got a phone call from a mate yesterday to say someone had dropped out on the trip to London next Friday. He offered me free train tickets, and a free hotel for the night, didn't have a match ticket but thought fuck it, will go down anyways.
Went to the Cricket with him today, and got talking a few of the other lads who are going down, and one of them had a spare ticket for his Club Wembley seats, so he said he would sell it to me for face value
So that was a free train & hotel, plus a face value ticket for the first England game to be held at new Wembly. As I went to the last game at the old Wembley, I was buzzing
Text my brother to tell him the good news (and to rub it in his face ) and got a reply from him informing me not to get so excited as the Saturday is my Auntie & Uncles 25th Wedding Anniversary, and we HAVE to go to some shitty Hotel on the Friday night in Derby, ready for the do on on the Saturday
Fucking seething I am

Tried that, no trains that go via that route, and as Hotel is miles out in the sticks then i've no idea how i'd get from the station to it, and it would probs cost a fortune in a Cab.
Im looking into other arrangements, but its not looking good

How old are you that you still get told what to do - there should be no hesitation mate, you will never get the chance to see the first England game at Wembley II again
