Hi guys,
just a quick question about insurance.
I'm 99% sure that im going to buy a corsa c20xe, i have got insurance quotes and even when the car is registered as a 2L is comes back saying the car is a 1.6 GSi or sport or whatever the car previously was.
i was wondering, if i go ahead with the insurance this way what is likely to happen? I know the police have the ANPR systems which check insurance, drivers licence, tax ect..
Will it bring up that the car is a 2L and insurance show its a 1.6 or 1.4?
Any help would be great.
Thanks

phone the insurance companies and tell them that its an engine conversion and that its now a 2 litre.
try companies like adrian flux that specialise in modified cars

Looks as though it's not registered as a 2.0L on the logbook (ie. with DVLA). If it was, then the insurance company would know anyway.

Well you have to question where the insurance companies are getting their information from because as far as I am aware it'd be the DVLA. Therefore, they should already know it's converted.
EDIT: In your first post you mention being 99% sure it's a regged C20XE....if it's black and white in front of you surely you'd be 100%?
