What about a VW Bora?
My brothers just bought a 1.9 tdi and its the 130bhp model, remapped you can see 170bhp and 300+lb/ft torque so quite nippy and unique as most people opt for the more common golf!
just a thought and returns 55mph on the motoway and has 6 gears, rain sensitive wipers, cd changer etc etc

Bora looks ok but I still like a 3door golf 3x as much!! Might look at one though if theres any decent ones for sale.

What about a Leon Cupra. My dads just got a couple in, they look look tasty. Got a Grey one with the FR kit on, looks awesome.

I'm in the same position Colin. Been offered a job but will be 80 miles a day plus what ever i do during the evenings.
Driving to PVS at 60 to see what i get out of a tank lol. That will then make my secision wherther to keep or sell the Corsa.
