How do people get tyres to stretch over the alloys?
do they have really wide alloys but standard tyres?
Or narrower tyres but normal widthed alloys?

smaller width/profile tyres i would expect?

yea i guess, does the number on the tyre go up or down if the tyres thinner i.e. 195 tyre, a 205 will be thinner?

205 is the width of the tyre.
width goes up. 205 will be wider than 195
profile goes down. 55 profile will be more than 45 etc.
